Studio Underd0g
A playful microbrand that has crossed an important line: final assembly is now fully in-house at a dedicated Maidenhead workshop.
Verification note
The brand’s current official site states that all watches are now assembled at its fully fledged Maidenhead workshop, The D0ghouse.
The record
Richard Benc built Studio Underd0g around bright, irreverent design and transparent movement sourcing.
The D0ghouse in Maidenhead is now the assembly home for all Studio Underd0g watches. The brand also uses the space for public showroom visits and assembly experiences.
Movement provenance remains international: Swiss Sellita on current lines and Chinese Seagull on earlier or specific chronographs. That does not weaken Tier II; it defines it.
Editorial angle
A useful test of the framework: commercial scale and playful branding do not cancel out meaningful British watchmaking work.
