Vertex
A genuine British military heritage name whose modern watches are manufactured in Switzerland — accurately Tier III, without apology.
London, England / SwitzerlandChecked 18 July 2026Founded 1916 · revived 2016
Verification note
Vertex’s own M100A product page explicitly says the watch is manufactured by its atelier in Switzerland.
The record
Vertex was one of the twelve suppliers behind the British military watches now known as the Dirty Dozen.
The revived company is led by Don Cochrane, a descendant of founder Claude Lyons, and has permission to use the broad arrow associated with its military history.
Its current product copy is clear that manufacture takes place at a Swiss atelier. The British contribution is brand, design direction and heritage rather than final making.
Editorial angle
The framework working as intended: significant British history does not turn Swiss manufacture into British manufacture.
